Mechanical Engineer
Five to ten years experience in aerospace/aircraft component part and tooling environment. High tolerance machined components, fabricated parts and tooling from aluminum, titanium, Inconel and stainless steel.
Responsibilities include:
- Design components ensuring form, fit & function across discreet parts and assemblies
- Utilize GD&T on mechanical drawings & ANSI/ISO standards in development of drawing packages, assemblies & BOMs.
- Design of form tools for sheet metal
- Design of welding fixtures
- Design of assembly fixtures
- Design of inspection and check fixtures
- Design of machining fixtures.
- Develop internal fabrication & machining process drawings from customer supplied drawings or model based definition.
- Develop internal manufacturing process documents and apply planning to ERP system.
Working familiarity with:
- CAD Tools: Creo Elements/Pro, Solid Works, AutoCAD, CatiaV5 and ANSYS10.
- MS Windows XP and Windows 7
- Distributed Numerical Control
- Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP), specifically Made2Manage.
- Basic shop practice for conventional and CNC machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, laser processing, plating and painting.
BS in Mechanical Eng or related work experience.
Fast-paced environment requiring strong inter-personal skills and ability to multi-task.
Preference for high-energy, meticulous, multi-lingual individuals.
