Assembly Fixture Ground support tools for an air-to-air guided missile and glide bomb; the tools were used in the precision assembly of the internal electronics and for transportation in-plant during production and in the field. The base material is aluminum, machined and welded to close tolerances; hole position, alignment and flatness requirements were critical to match the weapon features. Dozens of units were produced for Rockwell Missile Systems (Boeing), the U.S. Air Force and in support of FMS.

Transport Fixture Ground support tool used for the in-plant and in-field transportation of the Target Acquisition & Designation System (TADS) built by Lockheed Martin and used by the U.S. Army. The unit collapses for ease of transportation but stands upright for use in assembling the vision system. The tool is made from aluminum, machined and welded to close tolerance. There are about fifty units in use by Lockheed Martin, the U.S. Army and FMS customers.

Mooring System The Aerostat mooring system is comprised of a mooring cone, counterweight and a latching trunnion. The mooring cone is welded aluminum construction; 22 feet in diameter and nine feet at the apex. Attached near the apex is a counter balance weight built to stabilize the system while the aerostat is moored. The system was built in pie-shaped segments and assembled on-site. The latching trunnion is a precision machined mechanical latching device providing positive capture of the aerostat as it approaches its mooring position. The system is used extensively by the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Customs and is currently deployed in Iraq.
