Impeller Lift Fan Blades Impeller lift fan blades for a US Navy hovercraft were reverse-engineered from field units, prototypes were built and over 8000 production blades were delivered in 18 months. The complete system was modeled in 3D and parts were 100 percent inspected by CMM to ensure that blades would fit at field installation, without fail. The project was complicated by the use of Nitronic 50 for blade angles and stringent heat treat requirements on the aluminum structure.

Pressure Tanks The company is capable of fabricating low pressure tanks to support lubrication requirements aboard aircraft and ships. This 16" (406 mm) diameter by 36" (915 mm) tall tank was assembled from 40 aluminum fabricated and machined details including spun end caps, rolled body, antiswirl baffles, and numerous structural details; then assembled and pressure tested prior to paint. Over 500 tanks have been built.

Exhaust Systems The company has provided nickel-alloy exhaust components for the U.S. Navy LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion) program. The landing craft is powered and lifted by four turbines and the exhaust system for each engine is comprised of an exhaust gas diffuser (from Inconel 625), an exhaust gas collector (from A286) and an exhaust stack (from A286). The program included 84 landing craft (336 exhaust systems) and was completed over approximately 8 years. The company continues to manufacture these parts in support of the Navy's maintenance program.
